WHAT IS PSYCHODRAMA?

Psychodrama is an effective action method for psychotherapy and education. Jacob L. Moreno,M.D., psychiatrist and philosopher, originated psychodrama over eighty years ago. Participants in psychodrama cooperatively re-create life action events within which learning occurs naturally. Focus on areas of personal concern increases well-being and problem solving skills. Psychodrama enhances spontaneity and aids participants in experiencing, understanding, and overcoming blocks to a more fulfilled life.

Certification in Psychodrama

Upon completion, trainees may elect to apply to the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy, Washington, D.C., for national certification offered at two levels: Certified Practitioner (CP) or Trainer, Educator, Practitioner (TEP).
